After early season performances on Guetta’s illustrious FMIF roster, Vegas regulars Showtek return to Pacha tonight, joining Chuckie on top of an Epic agenda. “Vegas is pretty comparable to Ibiza,” the Dutch duo explain. “People go out and spend a lot of money on having a good time, but Ibiza is way better! After three days in Vegas we want to go home, but Ibiza is a place we’ve fallen in love with. In fact, it won’t be long before we buy an apartment here.” Showtek started their careers producing techno music, before switching to hard trance and dance composition. After another recent BPM change, it’s obvious that brothers Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen aren’t afraid to shake things up. “You don’t wear skinny jeans your whole life,” the Eindhoven-born pair smile. “We didn’t want to change Showtek into something totally new; we just wanted to re-invent our sound. We weren’t having fun producing the harder music, so we collaborated with artists like Hardwell and Tiësto, and when we released ‘Cannonball’ we put the Showtek name on the map in a whole different scene! Luckily our new sound still has the Showtek signature sound, so a lot of our old fans fell in love with it, too.” Read more at
