Calling all budding superstar DJs – you better brush up on your mixing skills because the Bedroom DJ competition is now open and this is a unique opportunity for amateur DJs to showcase their talents and be in with a chance to win a master-class with top DJ Mark Knight in Ibiza.

Toolroom Records boss and Grammy nominated artist Mark is responsible for some of biggest dance tracks of the last decade, including remixing this summer´s smash hit “You Got the Love”. He is a leading player on the DJ circuit, internationally, and has a residency at Space Ibiza this summer. Mark is also a nominee in this year´s DJ Awards House category!

The first ever Bedroom DJ competition winner, Droolotte Tasha from Malaysia, now regularly does gigs all over the world and has just had her first track signed by music-label Heavensgate. “Winning the Bedroom DJ award really kick-started my career,” says Droolotte. “It gave me international recognition. The master-class taught me so much about production too and my life has changed dramatically.” DJ Awards founder Jose Pascual explains: “We´re into the third year now of this fantastic project where we offer one winner a trip of a lifetime to Ibiza to have their own private masterclass with a top DJ. To add to the list of prizes, we have collaborated with Pioneer who are giving away a starter pack of dj equipment; two CDJ-350 multi-player decks, a DJM-350 mixer with USB recording, brand new pair of HDJ-500 headphones and a custom fit flight case to take their set to the people. The winner also gets VIP entry into the DJ Awards, with the chance to spin on the terrace of Mambo. It’s a prize that will help the winner on the road to DJ superstardom.” Three runners-up will also each win a pair of Pioneer headphones.
